About

CanaVox is a marriage movement founded and led by mothers. We form reading groups to study and discuss the importance of marriage. While other movements offer reasons based on religion, we provide readings from natural law, practical wisdom and science so that you can speak effectively and lovingly about why marriage should be between one man and one woman. Together, we can revive our marriage culture, one person at a time.

History

CanaVox began in the fall of 2013 as a group of eight concerned mothers and one marriage activist, who set out to create a network of people around the world who would host reading groups among their friends on the urgent topic of marriage. One of the mothers was Dr. Ana Samuel, Research Scholar at the Witherspoon Institute. The Witherspoon Institute liked what we were up to and agreed to grant us funding and logistical support.

Mission

Mission

Mission

Our goal is to establish a network of reading groups in the United States and internationally where those who support the historic understanding of marriage can explore the controversial issues in a calm, deliberative setting that is not subject to the hostilities often found in today's public discourse on this topic. We are not combative and not political- we are a cheerful, forward-thinking and solution-focused cultural movement that provides support and instruction.

By bringing people face to face in reading groups, we create safe havens of free speech for those who want to engage in open and honest conversations about marriage. We carefully select quality readings from around the web so as to encourage high-level discussions where participants learn and talk about academic research and read inspiring stories about the masterpiece that is one man and one woman marriage.
